Deoxidizer Briquette

  • Possesses all beneficial properties of aluminum.
  • Higher efficiency than aluminum due to non-oxidation with atmospheric oxygen.
  • Enters the slag effectively due to higher density than aluminum.
  • Good solubility and homogenization in molten steel.
  • Suitable flotation of produced oxides in the molten metal, allowing absorption by the slag.
  • Lower cost and favorable economic efficiency compared to aluminum.
  • Significantly reduces FeO and MnO in the slag.
  • Recovers oxidized alloying elements from the slag and returns them to the molten phase.

  • Creates fluid and suitable slag.
  • Improves slag basicity, increasing the lifespan of the slag line in the ladle refractory. Unlike aluminum, it does not react quickly with oxygen and does not oxidize.
  • Due to its suitable density, it remains in the slag phase, achieving maximum efficiency.
  • Produces no smoke or odor, posing no risk to production personnel or the environment.
  • Unlike aluminum, it does not emit disturbing light during use.
  • Uniform and defined shape, allowing storage in material bins (silos).

Today, the production of clean steel is one of the main goals of modern steel plants, and secondary metallurgy processes play a key role. Therefore, in ladle operations aimed at slag control, if it is possible to create an artificial slag capable of absorbing the products of deoxidation, protecting the steel from re-oxidation, and, if necessary, desulfurizing it, the goal of producing clean steel can be achieved.

Deoxidizer Briquette

The deoxidizer briquette, in addition to removing oxygen, creates fluid and regenerative slag, eliminates floating inclusions in the molten metal, and increases the efficiency of ferroalloys.
With over 50% aluminum, the deoxidizer briquette costs less than half the price of aluminum ingots, and due to its suitable density (ensuring presence in the slag phase) and optimized physical shape, it is more effective than similar aluminum materials. Moreover, due to its engineered chemical composition, it not only removes oxygen but also performs desulfurization during use. The deoxidizer briquette is also known as aluminum briquette or deoxidizing material.

Advantages of the Deoxidizer Briquette

Due to its uniform appearance and engineered composition, the deoxidizer briquette offers numerous advantages, including:
