Each layer has six more strands than the previous one. These conductors possess excellent mechanical properties and are recognized as high-strength conductors. AAAC conductors are manufactured in accordance with ASTM B399, DIN 48201, NFC 34-125, and BS3242 standards.   <\/p>\n<h1><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Features\"><\/span>Features<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Advantages of AAAC conductors compared to ACSR or AAC conductors<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lower energy loss compared to ACSR conductors with a single aluminum layer (used in distribution and sub-transmission lines)<\/li>\n<li>Increased current-carrying capacity up to 20%<\/li>\n<li>Simpler fittings and hardware<\/li>\n<li>Excellent corrosion resistance in active environments against galvanic corrosion<\/li>\n<li>Superior wear resistance compared to 1350 aluminum wires used in AAC and ACSR conductors<\/li>\n<li>Equal or higher tensile strength<\/li>\n<li>Equal or lower weight<\/li>\n<li>Equal or higher electrical conductivity<\/li>\n<li>Reduced radio interference due to better surface quality<\/li>\n<li>Higher fatigue resistance (up to 80%)<\/li>\n<li>Better creep resistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Applications\"><\/span>Applications<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>AAAC conductors are widely used in overhead transmission and distribution lines in coastal regions or areas where steel core corrosion in ACSR conductors may occur.<br>Due to their higher strength-to-weight and conductivity-to-weight ratios compared to ACSR conductors, they are considered a suitable replacement for such conductors in transmission and distribution lines.<br>Moreover, AAAC conductors are used as substitutes for single-layer ACSR conductors to reduce energy loss in overhead transmission and distribution lines. The absence of the steel core in AAAC eliminates the inductive effect present in ACSR conductors, thereby improving the operational efficiency of power
