Due to the sector shape and the compact arrangement of the twisted cores, these cables do not require fillers, resulting in a reduced overall cable diameter.<br>In addition, the sector-shaped aluminum conductors are in closer contact with one another, which increases the cable\u2019s electrical conductivity and reduces voltage drop along its length. <\/p><p>The outer sheath of this type of cable is made of PVC, which is applied over the twisted conductors. Compared to large round conductor cables, sector-shaped aluminum conductor cables (SECTOR) have smaller diameters and lighter weight, which help to reduce transportation and installation costs.
